My wife and I are expecting our first baby together in February (we have three between us from previous marriages). We found out a few weeks ago it's a girl!!! I picked the first name, she picked the middle name. We're gonna name her Ashlyn Journey. Opinions?

I wasn't sure about the middle name at first... but the more I think about it, the more I like it. And no, it has nothing to do with the band.

My wife picked the name Journey. She just likes the name because it's different.

I absolutely HATE the name Ashley, but i looovvee Ashlyn. I think it's so pretty. Femenine and not overdone. I like pairing it with a less "trendy" middle name as well. I think it's beautiful and it rolls off the tongue well too.
Great job, you two! She's gonna have a name she can be proud of. PLUS! People are going to be able to pronounce it, which is a big deal nowadays. :)

I love the name Ashlyn, however I'm not too keen on Journey. Perhaps its the spelling... because its too similar to the word journey. Good luck anyhow!

It sounds very thoughtful....like "journey" for the journey through life to find eachother and make a wonderful child together. What child wouldn't love to know their parent put so much love in their name. You are a breath of fresh air in this sometimes harsh world. Best wishes to you and your happy family!!

I looove that name... My husband and I actually like Ashlyn for a boy. I like how it can kind of be unisex, but be very classy for a little girl. Thumbs up!
