you should have them replaced every 60-70 thousand miles,try not to run more than that on one if possible,they get kind of old and will break,and possibly do some engine damage,the owners manual also tells you this,and other important thing about that car.good luck with t.

The range of mileage is 50-100,000 miles. Check with your dealer. Higher mileage for newer cars.
It is wise to change the belt before it breaks as severe engine damage may result. The valve clearance is close in some engines and the piston will hit the valves and damage the piston and or the valves.

You can look up your car on the Gates timing belt listing and also see if you have an interference engine and timing belt driven water pump that may need to be changed at the same time along with the tensioner pulley.
