Oh, just a word of advice for you. I think most of the people on here have been thinking it was pronounced Aid-ah, myself included. Eye-ee-duh is very nice, you just might want to consider different spellings so she isn't called Aid-ah her whole life. I only suggest that because you mentioned you hate the Aid-ah pronounciation.

I like it, though if you really abhor the idea that people will mispronounce it, I would use it as a middle name or change the spelling, because it WILL be mispronounced, and often. Like someone else said about those people that can butcher "Ann"...yeah, my name is Kristen and it seems that noone can say it right, though it seems simple enough, no? I go by my middle name (Ann ;) ) or Ani, but those both still get butchered.

If you dont mind people mispronouncing it and having to correct them, and eventually her needing to correct them, then I say go for it. I think it is lovely.

I think it's cute and femenine. I'd imagine that the large majority of the population will be able to say it as well. :) You always have those weird people who can mess up a name like "Ann". lol. Anyway! I think it's pretty. Go for it!
