Why Did Bush and the Republicans when they were in power move us to the right Political?

I am left is pushing like Crazy free medical coverage, 5,000 dollars per baby and sounds like they will pay for your house. I mean they are running to the left at a break neck speed.

First of all, President Bush is not a conservative. He is much more of a moderate as was his father. The last true conservative president was Ronald Reagan.

America's citizens are by far more conservative than moderate or liberal. However, most people do not know that they are. Here are a few clues. When Reagan did a good job of being a conservative, explaining conservatism and leading as a conservative he won with the largest vote margin in the history of the USA. That means he got a lot of people to vote for him that are not registered Republicans.

Another clue is that while plenty of private citizens claim to be liberals and they make a lot of noise about it, you do not see any candidate for President from any party calling him or herself a liberal. Why? Because people do not want to elect liberals. That is why liberal candidates call themselves, 'progressive'.

On the other hand, there are plenty of other people running for President who claim the title of Conservative even if they are not conservative.

Now, regarding free health care and 5k baby-bonuses, that is because in order to win the Democrat nomination, the Democrat candidates must appeal to the far left, hard core liberals that make up the current base of the Democrat party. Once safely in posession of the nomination, the Democrat will begin the sharp turn to the right which is necessiary to fool enough voters that they are not liberals.

You will see the shift after the November Primary election.

Bush is a conservative through and through.

A rabbid religionist intrusionist with no respect for liberty, let alone life.

The GOP was always and always will be an elitist, ruling calss party that steps all over the working class, or REAL people for that matter.

Bush ran in 2000 as a "moderate". That was a lie. As big as a lie that the GOP is the "party of life" Abu Ghraib photos and all.

The only moderates in America are those not in the flaky, hateful, delusional wedge issue camp. Republicans cant run on gays and abortions anymore because those hypocrites are proficient in both!
