I quit my job and my boss is trying to get me to sign an exit interview that states that there is no company policy to pay unused vacation time. According to my offer letter, I have a balance of 2.5 vacation days. It seems like according to mass general law 149, section 148, they are required to do so.

They have to pay earned vacation time.

They do not have to pay, sick days.

There are not very many states that require an employer to pay out usused vacation. Virginia is not one of them that does.
