A-Rod was 0-for-2, but he drew a couple of walks. Why, after last night, is he being bashed so badly? Look at Derek Jeter - 0-for-4. Look at Chien Ming Wang - 8 runs allowed. A-Rod left one man on base, meanwhile, Posada and Matsui both left 5. In addition, A-Rod didn't strike out once.

Guys, I gotta ask, after last night, how is the 12-3 loss A-Rod's fault, when more than 4 people in actuality had worse performances than him?

Shootme, his being paid a large wad of cash is no reason to rip him apart every game the Yankees don't win. You really think he's the only player to be making multi-millions of dollars and slumping? Look at Alfonso Soriano, he has 6 or 7 strikeouts through 2 games! That's just one example.

Stop hating guys. It wasn't A-rod or Derek losing the game. CC pitched one of the toughest performances you will ever see. And the Indians hitters worked Chien Ming Wang into a deep pitch count in the first inning and that paid off later in the game. Face it, the Tribe beat the Yankees straight up last night. Case closed.

It's simply because A-Rod has a history in the last 13 Yankees playoff games of not coming through in the clutch. Jeter has proven himself time and time again in October. He is Mr. October. If the game was on the line and I needed a clutch hit, I'd pick Jeter over anybody else in MLB and I'm not even a Yankee fan. Until A-Rod starts putting together a string of hits and good performances, every single at bat when he makes an out, it will be magnified 10x more than those bad performances of his teammates.

It's not because of last night, it's because of his post season stats since he has played with the Yankees. He is a great player when there is no pressure, but as soon as he is in a clutch situation he chokes and he has for last 4 years as a Yankee, and in post season he has the worst post season record in baseball history. This season he did a little better, but he has never proven himself in post season and last night's 0-2, even though he had 2 walks, doesn't help, he is an over rated player, let me change that he is THE MOST OVERRATED player i have ever seen , I hated the trade 4 years ago and his has proven me right, and I hope he opts out of his contract the end of this year.

they expect arod to get a home run every game make 0 errors on the field and have 0 K's!! They expect the best from him! He had an amazing year and well somtimes you have an off day and well i think yankee fans think that arod struggles during the post season and well if thats the case someone in the lineup needs to step it up!! Its a team sport last time i checked!!!! Leave AROD alone!!!! This is why he wont be a yankee at the end of this year why should he only be appreciated when he is doing good!!!

Yeah, but St. Derek's 0-4 was a CLUTCH 0-4.

ARod's 0-2 with 2 walks was just another choke performance. If he'd hit two grand slams like he's supposed to, the Yankees would have lost by only one.

This is how things are in Noo Yawk.

You have to look at A-Rod's Stats in the playoffs...they arent so hot. Ever since he's been with the Yankees he has not performed well in the postseason and ppl are being critical b/c they want him to be like the MVP A-Rod of the regular season.

Basically because of his salary.
The highest paid in the league at 27.7 million which is more than twice what Johnny Damon is getting. Fans won't accept anything less that twice the put out. A-Rod made his own bed .

A-Rod is the highest paid player in the league. He set the bar pretty high and its tough to live up to those expectations. He also has a long history of doing nothing in the playoffs.

Cause that's the way Yankee fans are they look at his past playoff slump. Rather then think that they wouldn't even be in the playoffs if it weren't for A-Rods great season. So Yankee fans should just be grateful they made the playoffs.

Dude, this is baseball. Arod performs for a rival team, and he made a mistake. in case you do not think of he's going to get ripped for that, your head is in the clouds. it is not in basic terms Boston, Texas ripped him, and that i assure that each and every stadium he steps into from right here on out is going to tear him. whether they don't care with regard to the roids, they are going to rip him to purpose and rattle him, wreck his interest. it incredibly is why this is talked approximately as living house team benefit. and it incredibly is the reason Bonds grew to become right into a greater effective participant than Arod. He took all that detest and shoved it decrease back of their faces by skill of hitting greater effective than ever. If Arod can try this, i will comprehend him, yet I actually have a feeling he's going to be a destroy by skill of the top of the 365 days.
