Bush and many other Americans obviously think that torture is an effective method for collecting information and the ends justify the means.

I don't buy it but many do.

Most people don't understand the interconnection of everything in existence and see themselves as separate from everything else. Someday enough people may understand that what we do to others will end up coming back to us, but we are not there yet.

Torture camps? What they are speaking of in this artical are the numerous detention camps which the the U.S. DoD and CIA have constructed to house Enemy Prisoners of War. These EPWs are being held in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the UN and the Geneva Conventions.

It might make you feel all radical, righteous, and important to perpetuate the idea that "interrogation" means "torture" but you are failing to understand that they are two separate things. The U.S. FIRMLY adheres to the guidelines mentioned above and the use of physical torture as a means of interrogation. Like in the prison photo scandal, violators are punished.
