flames fan, im just acting out cuz everyone in the NHL "know" thinks Phoenix is gonna finish dead last, but i dont think so...do i seriously think they can make the playoffs, no, but they wont finish dead last.
Then again, with a team like that, you can never tell which way the wind will blow.

i dont know flames fan, you have to admit, st louis and columbus again look rather weak, and the Coyotes had a very strong pre-season, i cant see them finishing last.

with so many weak teams, columbus, st losers, trashville, calgary, edmonton and even colorado, phoenix has just as much of a shot as all the above weak teams.
only 1 good Canadian team this year, and its the sens. Calgary and Edmonton just are not that great.

Calgary has nothing this year, it will be sad to see them out with Edmonton LOL now that would be sweet....Phoenix, Edmonton and Calgary all out of the playoffs while your heroic teams St Losers and Columbus make the playoffs LOL...if ya say so flames fan.

I think they'll be 13th, 14th, or 15th by mid-December. If they are any higher, I'll be shocked.

Turris committed to the University of Wisconsin before the draft and was obligated to play there (Van Riemsyk is a similar situation). He enrolled in Madison the day after the Super Series. He's ineligible to play in the NHL until January 1st. As long as Turris remains a student, he is unable to attend an NHL camp. If he attends an NHL camp while he still has NCAA eligibility, he loses the rest of his eligibility.
Indications from Turris are that he will play a year and then join the Coyotes. 20 years ago the NCAA would have frowned on this, but nowadays, they don't. High draft picks like Erik and Jack Johnson and Kyle Turris bring fans into the lesser arenas.

I hope you are being sarcastic. I am a huge Coyotes fan and I'm not expecting much. I will still go to my games, and root for them. The only thing you can hope for is that they become like the Dbacks and these kids play for each other and have good chemistry that would generate a few wins. The owners will be better when they realize that this is a fair-weather city (thanks to all the transplants) and whichever team is winning gets the ticket money.

One game does not a season make. They have some decent players but what suprises me is Turris didn't crack the lineup while Gagner and Foligno managed to make their clubs.
Dead last in the West belongs to Columbus.
