I'd have to go with prolly 2 behind the 72 dols. Maybe even 3 behind a steel curtain D of the Steelers, but if they go undefeated this year witch I would be surprised if they didn't they will be the best team ever. They could just score so easy and stop anybody. If they don't get hurt, or have a stupid mental game (witch I don't think will have they are the pats with B. B. common) they will win every game.

In the list of top 5 teams ever, the 2007 Patriots fall in somewhere around 82. ranking them "all time" after 4 games would be foolish.

The top five teams ever played a complete season. The 2005 Clevleand Browns and Oakland Raiders are ranked ahead of the 07 Patriots because they played more games.

I will say they will probably have one of the best 10 regular seasons ever in terms of great record with dominating wins. But if they then go 1-1 in the playoffs, they're not that great a team, are they?
Be realistic man, right now they're tied with Dallas for record, so are you saying this season has two of the best teams of all time? And Detroit is only a little behind at 3-1, do they deserve to be in the top 10 of all time then?

Well, they do look good...but there are months of football left to be played and who is to say at this point how their season turns out? The answer is they don't rank in that list. Maybe, if they win the Super Bowl we can start to talk about it. But they are not up there with the 72 Dolphins...91 Redskins...84 Bears...64 Browns...67 Packers or even the 01 Patriots until they do.

I don't dislike the Patriots, but give me a break! It's 4 games into the season. They still have to play Dallas and Indy before we should even worry abour where they stand in history. Remember that the year they won one of their Superbowls, they started off the season getting KILLED by the Bills and started 0-2. Then they turned it around. Other good teams have imploded (although it doesn't seem likely with this team, but you never know). They could go 15-1 but lose in the playoffs (like the Vikings did years back losing to Atlanta in the NFC championship).

At least this is a complete sentence.

It's clear that you are a Patriots fan. So there is going to be some bias. But they haven't even played an entire season. How would you even begin to think logically about ranking them among the best ever?

Dear Patriots fans,
This is getting out of control.

Have a good one

No team is remembered for their 1st 4 games off the season, yes they are playing fantastic football but if Brady breaks his leg on Sunday and they go 7-9 or something and miss the playoffs they wont make the top 500 of all time

Totally unknown yet, it is only game 5 of the 2007 season. They could go 16-0 and lose their first game of the playoffs and then any kind of ranking all time would be senseless.

they don't. they have won four games and that's all. they rank with all the other 4 and 0 teams in nfl history at this time. lets see where they finish.

now i will give them this. what the pats have done in this era of parity and free agency is very impressive. i mean, they are a dynasty team when the dynasty days are long ago over.

but i'll judge the 07 pats when 07 is over with.
