Of course you do, but remember with every action there is reaction, and sometimes it is not the kind of reaction you want. So before you get into a lot of "Legal" involvement, think about all the possible consequences "good & bad!"

Hmm, not sure if there's any sort of legal thing that can help you out. Seems a bit mean though to involve you in everything apart from the cheerleader team.
Maybe talk with the principal privately or ask your parents to. To be honest, I don't think there's any kind of legal rule about secluding someone from a school team, but if they are not allowing you in for being transgendered then that would be discrimination.
I know this is no excuse at all but in all honesty I think that if there was a case like this at my school the heads of the school probably wouldn't really know how to deal with the situation and would take a while sorting it out. It may be similar at yours and perhaps the petition you had signed will proove how determined you are to be on the team and show you have people backing you, especially since you passed the try-outs. Maybe it's a question of it taking time.
Hope everything works out for you though. I admire you for going ahead with the petition and not giving up.

You could have legal recourse. Has the school given you an answer as to why you can not participate as a cheerleader? Find out the reason behind the no that they have given you. If the reason is because you are a male, then yes that is sexual discrimination. If the reason is that your a transgender then again sexual discrimination. If the reason is because they are trying to protect you hear them out and try to find solutions to what they view as potential problems, While your school and the people in embrace you as a transgender other schools that your team plays against may not. It could potentially cause some criminal activity from opposing teams and their fans. (ie, fights, destruction of property etc) I applaud your school for excepting you for you and allowing you to be transgender at school. Not to many schools that will do this. Please keep this in mind when speaking to them. It could very well be they are worried about your safety and the safety of the other students and fans. I wish you luck both at the cheerleading and your transition. Debbie

Yes, you do indeed. I strongly suggest you go see an attorney. Not only do you have an action for descrimination, but schools are required, in order to be accredited by various accreditation commissions, to offer ALL sports to BOTH genders. They don't have to let you join the girls, but they DO have to let you be a cheerleader. They can indeed make an all-male OR all-transgender cheer team. Most schools won't bother.... But, in order to keep their accreditation, they do have to let you be a cheerleader if you can pass the requirements (grades & a physical exam).
Please contact your local chapter of the ACLU. You can find them on Google! You may also wish to contact your state's Bar Association. Those groups can refer you to a civil rights attorney.

Not until you complete your transition. You are legally still male. (That is if it is a female squad.) You should not be prevented from joining as a male cheerleader, but I doubt that is what you want.
Sorry, but at the moment your sexual identity is in limbo. Thankfully the period you will be in transition isn't that long.

This would probably vary from state to state, because I think it would be covered by state law, and federal law - might be murky.
Good luck on your petition though. It would be better for it to just be allowed, rather than having to go through the hassle of a legal battle. But if it comes to that, good luck there too! :)

criminal bud is merely hemp, which Im valuable you comprehend is merely marijuana with an exceedingly low thc content cloth, which means smoking it fairly is going to do not something because of the fact there is not any thc, that's the lively ingredient that makes human beings intense. valuable it looks merely like it, yet its thoroughly ineffective. I dont comprehend what you propose via criminal bud, because of the fact there is not any bud it is criminal contained in united statesa., federal regulation says its unlawful. What i concept you meant grew to become into bud which you spot in magazines like intense circumstances, that's hemp, not different vegetation not grass, not lettuce. this is ineffective while you try to get intense, yet may well be used industrially for many stuff. And for the girl that went on approximately how its a conspiracy, this is, yet that wasnt the question.

where I went to high school we had male and female cheerleaders. It shouldn't matter who you are. Before suing I would petition the school board.

Taking legal action will take so long that your graduation will be over before your suit can get started. Then they will say you have no standing, and dismiss the case.
