Because you have 2 ovaries and if the other one of them ovulates (opposite tube of the one with the fertilized egg) during the beginning of a pregnancy, it is possible to have a minor period, but typically not as heavy as a regular one.
Your eggs are fertilized in the fallopian tube (of which there is 2, one for each ovary). Once the egg is fertilized it releases a chemical (hormone) that tells your body it is pregnant and stops the menstrual cycle.
If your other ovary happens to release an egg before this chemical signature stops it from doing so (because it takes time for it to get there), it is possible to have small period after the pregnancy commences, and before the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus. Once the egg attaches itself to the uterus is when the window for having a period is over. This window of opportunity is very small, which explains the rarity of the event.

hello again :-) sorry i didnt get ur question sooner babe, but i just checked my emails just than! but anyways the answer to ur question, is yes, but if ur friend has concerns she may be, than some home pregnancy tests is the ideal way to go just to double check, but make sure its roughly 2 weeks or more since she thinks she may be pregnant as the results will be better, aslong as using her first wee for the day to use on the test, its at its strongest than so more ideal to do it than. i hope everything goes well for her, give her all my best wishes, anyways babe catch ya next time when u ask another question p.s i look forward to ur question :-)

Yes it can happen. Usually just at the beginning tho. But I have also heard of people who swear they didn't know they were pregnant cause their periods never stopped.

It's rare but it is possible. My aunt had her period every month that she was pregnant and had a healthy baby.
