It's a bit vague as it has gone through a number of transitions since the Benedictine monks settled there in the tenth century. A fundation stone was put down for the lady chapel specifically, that is part of the Abbey in 1220, but if you have a look at the link below it may have some useful information for you as to how the Abbey ended up where it is and how it is.
