Howcome, every celeb guest that comes on either has a show currently on the tele (which Paul watches) has a book out (which Paul has read) has a CD out (which Paul has listened to) or is in a stage play or musical (which Paul has been to see).

Where does he get the time to see and do all this ? I don't doubt that he has seen/read/listened/ or been to some of them but surely not all of them. Guess the researchers do the rest and then prime Paul with all the 'best bits'

Lol I do like him,but I think he just says things to win his guests over like,Oh Iam going to your concert,I have the CD,I saw that the other day...Iam sure the facts have been wrong sometimes though, but he just blames it on Bert,I do believe though he does do some of the things he says, but not all,and he may have help from the producers to keep the conversation going.

I think its called "research". I guess he has to swot up a bit or at least be briefed by someone else who may have read / watched / seen them. I would say it wouldn't look too great if guests come on talking about something and he had no idea what they were on about! Lol

The show allows celebrities to advertise in return for a nil or much reduced appearance fee. Is this advertising (supposedly not allowed!) - your thoughts please.
The same happens on all similar shows including "The Wright Stuff" which I like at 9 each morning (I'm advertising too!)

No thumbs down from me because I agree.

Personally I stopped watching his show because it was nothing but soap stars. he sounded like a old woman that does nothing but watch soaps or gets excited when there is a bit of dullard gossip

(Iam not saying people who watch them are old)

its to keep costs down probably because i dont think they have to pay the guests for appearing if they have something to plug...you're probably right about him being primed on the salient bits though
