Al Gore is a lying political opportunist and coward who is the son of a senator who filibustered the civil rights legislation of the 1960s. He isnt qualified to wash my dishes.

Al Gore can't be expected to respond to every crack pot group that has a bone to pick. Global warming has been proven to be real. Even President Bush acknowledges the existence of global warming. Scientists, including geologists, climatologists, paleontologists, archaeologists have stated countless examples of human contribution to the global warming problem. Experts vary on the exact amount of human responsibility but all agree that we must take action now to do what we can to improve the environment. The natural cycle which is occurring is being made worse and ice caps melting faster because of the depletion of the ozone layer. This creates an rise in ocean temperatures of a few degrees. What seems minuscule in terms of a few degrees can actually be catastrophic in terms of stronger hurricanes, melting of glaciers and even how the planet reacts to drought and excessive rain. Areas on the brink of devastation soon become devastated. In our lifetimes we could see NYC and Washington DC under water.
What amazes me is that there are still a few hard headed individuals who just can't bring themselves to believe the experts. It is like when Copernicus, or Da Vinci, tried to prove the world was round and even after Columbus and Magellan there were some who still thought the world was flat. Archaic ideas die hard in the minds of some.

Al Gore has been talking about Greenhouse Gas emissions and global warming for decades. It is only in the last 5 years that the science has proven this issue is real and needs to be addressed. Al Gore's method for addressing it is education, critical thinking, and a plan, a very simple one, for reducing emissions over the long haul, not a radical revolution to disrupt the world as every conservative claims.
Nobel prize winners are often those that saw a problem and began to address it earlier than anyone else, and did so effectively.

He has to be nominated, then the nomination is gone over by a committee, same as anyone else. Since it usually goes to statesmen and peacemakers, they may be having trouble finding one right now.
Its just possible Joseph Bast should have kept his money, Gore isn't running for anything and owes no one his time if he doesn't want to. I can contact the head of Chase Bank endless times to debate him over usurious loan charges, but, he doesn't have to answer to me either.
I can't stand Coulter, shes pure propaganda, so I change the channel. I suggest you do the same with Gore, you can believe what hes saying or not, but hes raised awareness and that can't hurt.

You can nominate anyone for the Nobel Peace Prize. It's a private organization and they can make awards to who ever they want-------Hell, didn't they give one to Jimmy Carter a few years back? That shows you how relevent they are.
