Heck, no!! It's my soap of choice!! I love the smell of it and, with all due modesty, I've had people say that I smell great when I had no perfume on so they're either reacting to the Irish Spring soap or have a deodarant fetish.

I love Irish Spring soap. I use it all the time. I would suggest that it's probably more popular with people who perspire a lot (me) and/or who exercise intensely (me) and/or who like that herbal/forest kind of scent (me). Some people say it dries out a person's skin but I've never had a problem with it. If one is not prone to dry skin, they should give it a try. I just love the smell and it obviously goes well with my own natural scent because, as I said, I've had people compliment me on it and a friend even asked what perfume I was wearing when I wasn't wearing perfume but had showered with Irish Spring right before going out.

Good soap but probably not for everyone.

Irish Spring Commercials

When the first Irish Spring commercials came out on TV, it was touted as a mans soap, so I've always known it to be a mans soap and never use it, being a female. A part of me says "soap is soap - whatever gets you clean", but the company issued this soap and marketed it as a mans soap so I associate the aroma of this product as a mans scent. So......yeah. Its definitely a mans soap.

Nope, I think it is a ladies' man's soap. If you wanna smell like an Irish spring (the water hole, not the season) then go ahead and use the chemicals in the soap.
I prefer the natural scents of humans. I use lye soap and have the smoothest skin in the county.

Us men know it as 'hoe repellent'. Sometimes, we get tired of fighting off desperate bitches who try to make us their babydaddy. Splash on some Irish Spring soap in the morning, et voila, care-free day. An Irish spring wash a day, keeps the skanks at bay.

No, I do not think that is "a man's soap" in that women should not use it.

But if you mean are most buyers and users of Irish Spring men, I would say yes.

It's marketed that way, if that's what you mean.

But even if it is a man's soap, what about manly women? Gender-Benders? In a word, dykes? Can they use it too?
