Yes, it is wrong unfortunately. Besides, Weight Watchers won't let you join while pregnant. You should see a nutrionist to get some advice on eating and exercising while pregnant (along with info from your doctor of course). I was in weight watchers until I found out I was pregnant and then I had to quit. I can start again once the baby is born, even while breastfeeding. They allow for that but not for pregnancy. It's just not safe.

My aunt joined weightwatchers, she's not pregnant though. She was extremely over weight and her health was at risk. All it does is calculate how much you should eat, then put it into points. Like lets say your height and weight say you should eat 22 points a day, well they give you a book that lists everything from Mcdonalds to homemade pie, fruits, it just has everything. IT more or less helps you stay in prospective of what you eat and it helps you keep track. Like if you eat an apple lets say it's 2 points, then you have 20 points left for the day. It just kind of helps you realize what your eating and how your eating by keeping track. My aunt has lost 137 lbs in 7 months by weight watchers.

The thing is, you have to go to meetings and weigh in, and they probably wont let you join because you are pregnant. Just throw out all the junk food and refil it with healthy stuff. What I do to make sure I don't gain as much is I do yoga twice a day 20-40 minutes each time, then I take a twenty minute walk, atleast 5 days a week. Save the weight watchers for after the baby is born. GOodluck and congrats.

i am almost 10 weeks and already at like 7 weeks some days I would unbutton my pants and some days I wouldn't have to. I am not sure if I have gained any weight but my stomach seems wider. I was wondering if I was stupid not to try losing weight before getting pregnant but I just thought I wouldn't care and would just blame being pregnant, but I don't have a bump or anything yet so there is nothing to blame! The scariest thing is that when I found out I was pregnant I got a tiny stretchmark right next to my belly button. Now I have just been creaming myself like crazy!

No, you would just be put on a healthy diet and monitored weekly so what could be wrong with that! I'm sure it will be taken into account that you do need extra calories per day during pregnancy. If not then just do it yourself and don't eat for two, stay away from the usual bad things and eat more fruit and veg. And drink loads of water!
I too have SPD so I know what you're going through, it goes as soon as you've had the baby.

There is a special plan for post partum and nursing mothers, my sister joined weight watchers after my nephew was born and is still a member and my nephew is 16 months old. The points plan gets you to watch what you eat and track the healthy things you eat, that can only be a positive thing for you! Of course they won't want you to LOSE weight, just stay healthy while you are pregnant. Even if you don't want to go to the meetings, the principal guidelines will help you to eat healthy.

BTW, my sister is under the weight she was before she was pregnant.

From what I understand, they do have a special program for pregnant and nursing mothers. However, anything like that.. you would want to run it by your OB. They are most likely going to tell you to just cut out the junk, sodas, etc.. and eat when you are hungry, but eat the healthy foods. It is mostly a matter of eating a large variety of foods in the right proportions... like the food pyramid. I know it isn't as easy to discipline yourself this way, but it is the truth. The most important thing is exercise. Just light walking, even if you have to take a break every 10 minutes.

By the way, the only way your OB is going to want you to LOSE weight is if you are obese. If you are overweight enough, he might let you maintain your weight... but like others have said, he will probably want you to gain around 15 lbs.

Mustard is a secret bulge-buster. The item boosts your metabolism and increases natural ephadrine, the hormone in which burns fat. According to Jeya Henry, professor of human nutrition on Oxford Brookes University, just a tablespoon within your food can reduce a flabby waist by 20 percent!

Unless they've changed things since I signed up, Weight Watchers will not allow you to join when you are pregnant.

You can only eat a healthy diet, and if you're looking for some low impact exercise that's easier on your body...try out shallow water exercise classes, if your doctor OKs it.

You'll probably wind up with a bunch of seniors who are working on keeping limber with arthritis, as I did, but you get good exercise that really lessens the impact on your body.

When you are post partum, WW will allow you to join, even when you are nursing - they have higher points values for nursing moms...I did it online, worked like a charm for me.

Weight watchers will NOT let you join or go to meetings while you are pregnant. I was doing weight watchers before I got pregnant and they informed me that I was not allowed to continue.

Weight watchers does allow nursing mothers to join, but not while you are pregnant.
