I don't imagine it ever stops. They say that under a healthy 25 year old's skin with special equipment, you can see the damage that the sun has done and their skin below looks like what you've just described now. I think as people age the skin thins out and all this underneath comes out and becomes evident.
So it's true, protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun. I think kids today will look much older than we will as old people because the sun has much more damage potential now than when we were kids. Skin cancer will be on the rise too. My MIL had a harmless "bump" on her nose that was there for decades removed as cancer when it suddenly started "changing". She now has a chunk missing from the side of her nose. And she was lucky. Most times it spreads and is not treatable. We have to take these things a lot more seriously.

Sorry but it can keep happening until you die. Some elderly people get some pretty horrible lesions on them, like large warts, which are there for the duration. And of course a lifetime of sun exposure can play havoc when you get older. A lot seems to depend upon your genetic inheritance...if your parents had good skins all their lives, you probably will, too.

The skin as well as the rest of the body starts aging at birth and continues til death. The only alternative to getting older isn't an attractive one. We all have to accept that as we age our body changes in ways that we don't always like. But know you aren't alone in this-it happens to all of us.

Genetics & Ethnicity decide that. Darker skin seems to age slower & if your parents aged early, so will you and vice versa. I am in my 40's and can easily pass for 30's same with my husband.

I think it keeps on until we get on the wrong side of the dirt. Genetics play a big part.

All of us continue to age all of our lives. For awhile it is slow, then faster, then slow again, then way faster as we hit the middle age, slows again for a bit, and the senior years hit and oh buddy, its quick, but still at some point, it will go at a slow steady pace till we die or Jesus comes. But dont worry, as we are all given new bodies in heaven. I always joke, that I will ask only for a size 6, I dont want to be greedy and ask for a size 2. hahahaha Yes, christians, I know we dont do that, only a private joke with me and my friends . hahahaha
God has a sense of humor, and it is ok to laugh.....
I am 61, and I didnt notice any skin issues till the last yr, must be that time huh? But, doesnt matter, we are all beautiful to God, and we must remember God doesnt make junk, He loves us like we are, and we need to love ourselves as He loves us. WHo says older is less beautiful?? and in reality, who says being skinny is prettier? I love who I am, and I am proud of this size 16 body I have. ITs all me and its all real, no silicone in this gal.
God lvoes us like we are, and we all need to get to that point too, not to be arrogant and prideful, but to accept what God says of us, and let noone every define our value, our worth or even our beauty. Beauty comes from within and boy can it just shien thru. Let Jesus shien and you will always be beautiful, inside and out.
Love God as He loves us, love others as He loves them, and love ourselves as He loves us.
what a way to live.... No turning back for this gal. See you can teach an old dog new tricks. hahahaha
again more joking from shirley. I dont refer to myself as a dog, its only a joke folks. Lets lighten up.
I am a strong woman of God with strong faith. I know who I am, and its wonderful. I pray you all will learn to value yourself as God values you and still keep your wonderful sense of humor, in an appropriate way that will always honor God.Life is too short to live it any other way> God bless you all.

At death.
All that you speak of are direct consequences of life. Death is the only remedy for aging skin.
