It doesn't matter if you are a straight A student. Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

It doesn't matter how good your grades are or how careful you are, schools are blocking certain websites because they are being required to block them. Circumventing website controls is a good way to get yourself in trouble with the school system. Depending on school policy you could find yourself with a warning, restriced access, no access, or maybe even suspension from school.

If you are the straight A student, maybe you can convince your parents to purchase you a high end phone that allows browsing the web and you can convince the teacher to let you connect that way. Check out the iPhone for browsing.

** Edit **
Amanda T - Amazingly everyone here isn't a MySpace "hater". Just because we recommend following the rules of the network owner (the school) doesn't mean we don't like the sites you are trying to visit. We just realize that the rules exist for a reason and breaking or attempting to break has consequences. My employer blocks many sites (MySpace, populate web based email sites, social networks, etc...) so if I want to access, I don't find ways around to get there, I wait until I am on my system at home to do it.

I don't know what to tell you. I would have said that you should go to proxy sites but either they're shut down or they're blocked by the schools. So there is no way that you can go on myspace. I was a good kid in High school. I hardly went on myspace. Save it for home!

If you were a straight A student you'd understand basic cause effect. Like you break the rules / you get punished.
The schools IT systems cost money to run / someone has to pay for them
If you abuse systems / you lose access

Your parents and everyone else paying taxes contributes to the costs of you getting your education, do not waste it. Do your Myspace wasting at home.

I'm glad that you are a straight A Sudent, but that just impossible to open myspace because School doesn't allow myspace and other websites that have the same category. It may contain inappropriate stuff

Glad you are a straight A student. But the schools block the computers for a reason. If you are a good kid, respect their rules and go to myspace at home.

How approximately looking extra appropriate issues to do at school (which includes your artwork!!) and pass decrease back homestead to get on MySpace. in the adventure that your artwork is all performed, stable one on you ... discover some thing to try this does not contain messing with the filters. Or might you relatively clarify to your mothers and dads which you purchased banned from the college desktops (or suspended from college) via fact which you purchased bored? it is your call, yet you may desire to understand what the hazards are. pick properly!

UGH!

Here we go again. Every day you teenagers come here and ask this same stupid question a 1000 times.

Keep trying a proxy or vtunnell and you WILL GET CAUGHT. Your school's IT department is smarter than you and they even monitor what you type. They even know what you typed here at yahoo answers.

Your silly myspace can wait for you to get home and play. My tax dollars are not to pay for you to play on your silly, pointless, waste of time myspace crap.

Keep trying, You will get caught and lose all internet privileges at school, or worse, get suspended or expelled for violating School security. Explain that one to your parents when they are fined for your idiocaracy.

Not going to happen on your schools network unless you can get into the firewall. Sorry

You cant.

Its illegal and if your caught, your parents can get fined and you can get thrown out of school. Doesn't matter what kind of kid you are, its still illegal to try and hack your way through a school network filter.
