Nothing. It's a Communist country and the top officials are skimming off all the good stuff. "All pigs are created equal, except some pigs are more equal than others"

Hey Aaron,

well China is doing nothing about their poverty, in fact the poverty of their people is what allows China to produce goods cheaper than any other nation. If the people weren't poor that would mean that they are getting paid well and if they are gretting paid well then their goods would not be so cheap and China would not dominate the world's markets.
The USA does the same thing with agriculture... think about it, a head of lettuce costs a dollar because we use illegal aliens to harvest it and pay them next to nothing, if we paid legal wages the head of lettuce will cost $7. China's cheap labor is no diffrent from ours.

China is growing its industrial base. 50 years ago almost everyone lived in poverty(subsistence agriculture), and now 24% work in industry They are still very poor by western standards, but they have escaped from the Malthusian trap that kept them in poverty for 200 years after the industrial revolution in the western countries. They seem to be about where the US was in 1900.

The same thing the U.S. is doing: nothing. China has adopted capitalism and capitalism creates poverty. Here's a video on the topic:

Mostly killing their kids and old folks so they don't have to feed them. They aren't big on life in China, unless you are doing something valuable.
