...by wearing a Yankees cap to the game last night?

Bad publicity move for someone who used to be a class-act.

I heard someone put it like this: Would you cheat on your husband/wife with your high school sweetheart? He's a big part of Cleveland now - and although he doesn't need to be a huge fan - he should support those who support him.

Like the phrase "Don't bite the hand that feeds you".

He humiliated himself. I used to think he was a class-act. No more though. This makes me doubt he'll stick around after his contract expires. He has no loyalty to his fans. Not that most superstars do... but I awalys liked to think LeBron was different.

Boo, LeBron. What a stupid and immature act.

Yeah, he's a Yankee fan. I get it. He's made that known since day one. But - to go out there amongst his greatest fans and FLAUNT the yankee gear... it's just bad PR and poor taste.

AGAIN. The Cleveland fans feed him... and they're the same fans.

My point is not that he can't be a Yankee fan... but that he showed disrespect to HIS city by doing what he did.

You make a lot of good points and he should not have had the Yankee hat on at the Indians home game, out of respect for Indians fans and his fans, which are the same. I really believe LeBron now believes it was a mistake. However, I do not agree with you from this point going forward with your comments. I believe LeBron is a class act and his personality and talent will get him beyond this issue with his fans. If you could come to believe that LeBron sees the error of judgment on his behalf wouldn't you want to give him another chance?

If he is such a Yankees fan or just a New York fan, why not go play for the worst franchise going right now, the NY Knicks, maybe Coach Thomas will spank his *** and treat him with the disrespect he treats women, what a fool LeBron is for dissing the home city, btw, he sucked on SNL, best part about last sat nite was K West, LeBron needs to get a grip and keep it in house, or in city in this instance

What's the big deal about him wearing a Yankees cap? He's a Yankees fan he's allowed to wear Yankee gear wherever and whenever he wants. I'm a Yankee fan in South Texas, I guess I'm taunting Astro/Ranger fans when I wear my Yankee jersey and caps around town. Bleh!

This thing reminds me of that time this summer when Tom Brady was sporting a Yankees cap in New York. Just because you play sports in a town doesn't mean you have to plead allegiance to all the other sports teams for that city. Grow up!

Would he be less humiliated if the Yankees won 12-3?

Who cares? Hes Lebron James. Why should he care? Hes a superstar and nothing will come back to bite him. He has his contract already. He'll make his money. His endorsements are on a national/international scale, not on a local level. If Cleveland Cav fans want to go back to the before Lebron years then they can not support him and boo him out of town and Lebron can happily get paid elsewhere. Perhaps the Knicks.

I think hes more embarrased to have been wearing the hat of the team that got their doors blown off than to worry about losing money from angry Cleveland fans.

Please, he doesn't even need to brush this off his shoulder. Hes LEBRON JAMES.

Your rant is so bad.

So because he plays BASKETBALL for Cleveland he has to relinquish being a fan of other cities sports teams?

He didn't have a frickin Knicks hat on or something, good god. He is a Yankees fan, the Yankees are playing in the place he is living so he went to the game to cheer on his favorite BASEBALL team. Get the hell out of here for criticizing him. You make no sense...so when you are on vacation and your favorite team is playing should you be forced to go and wear the rival teams jersey and root for them because you are a tourist in their town?

You make no sense and if the city of Cleveland and the fans think it is bad PR and are mad at LeBron then they can trade him. Stupid...

The Indians aren't the hand that feeds him...the Cavs are. And don't say that Cleveland is, because last time I checked the team was owned by individuals, not the city like the Green Bay Packers.

This topic is stupid, I am just going to stop typing now.

Just because he plays for a Cleveland team, he doesn't have to wear an Indians cap. He is entitled to support any team he desires to. The comment you talked about, I heard it on the Mike & Mike show on ESPN. So he wore a Yankees cap, get over it.

I wonder how LeBron would feel if, in a playoff game, some Indian Superstar came to a Cavalier's home game with the opposing jersey on.

Probably not too good. However, you are trying to attribute emotions and thoughts of a higher being to a basketball player. Consider the source.

1. Just because you play for a team based in the city in the game that you were at, doesn't mean you have to root for them. Now, if he were playing that night against the Pistons, and showed up in a Chauncey Billups jersey, oh, that'd be different, but it's baseball, he plays basketball, leave the man alone.

around 40% the clarification is user-friendly and easy, many people whilst they grew to grow to be cavs followers cherished the cavs....yet lebron basically grew to become right into a one million guy team. it incredibly is principally because of the fact they dont stay in cleveland and reason wen the all started observing lebron grew to become into wearing his team. the persons in ohio will nonetheless be cavs followers and the various persons exterior of ohio will nonetheless be cleveland followers yet u cant deny many lebron followers will connect him. the comparable applies to MANY laker followers and kobe(not u yet others),warmth followers and wade, dever followers and melo, etc. i will nonetheless like the cavs greater however....yet it would be kinda like I even have 2 fav communities......

He's a life time Yankee fan. Why shouldn't he show his allegiance to them. It's not going to deter from him giving his all for the Cavaliers. You need to move on past this non-issue.
