Production car-wise the Bugatti Veyron is no longer the fastest top speed car in the world its the SSC Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo.
Granted it's not a large company but this is a production car that you can buy for use on the street with a top speed of 257mph.

Probably an F1 car. Anything much quicker tends to be a "one-off' model, that can only do specific things (drag car, salt-flats car)
