I just laugh at all of the "Yankees Sucks" answers. You can see who are the children in here. Not too many articulate answers when it comes to bashing the Yankees. I just LMAO.

Ever count how many have very pro-yankee avatars or user IDs. Also a great number.
However, in reality, the Yankees could care less about fans that don't like them because they won't make any money off of them anyway, which is the destination of any baseball team.
The fact that many fans of other teams will come out to their road games to boo them does a great deal of good for the home team too.
Skydome attendence was larger than usual when the Jays hosted them in early Sept.
So, in that way, the Yankees are good for baseball.
(didn't think I would ever say that).

I was going to leave this one alone but I had to jump in.
Eric M - You've been a fan since 1993 before Steinbrenner? That's interesting because Steinbrenner bought the team in 1973. Ahh. . . . . love the TRUE Yankee fans!
My personal hatred for the Yankees and their fans goes beyond them trying to buy the best team every year. Yankee fans hate A-Rod because he has struggled in the postseason. (Don't tell me you like him just because he had another MVP year) Their attitude with him is what have you done for me lately. Never mind the fact that they have tried to build their pitching staffs the last couple years around guys over 35, then get surprised when the pitchers break down by playoff time and go into a series with NO pitching, it's still A-Rods fault in their mind.
So they take a "what have you done for me lately" approach with their players, but if you ask why they didn't win it all last year, it all of a sudden turns into a history lesson. 26 World Series Championships! BFD! 20 of those came before 1963. Yes their 6 since then is the most in the last 34 years, but they haven't been anywhere near as dominant as they were before then.
It's just funny that whenever you argue against them, their comeback is always 26 Championships. "Hey, the Yankees are built from a bunch of aging overpaid has-beens with no starting pitching and are lucky to have A-Rod before they run him out of town after the season." - - - "Yeah, well, A-rod sucks in the postseason, and you're just jealous that we actually pay our players, and, and, and, and well we've won 26 World Series Championships."
That's my impression of how 90% of Yankee arguments go. Rip on me if you want, but spend five minutes reading questions from the Baseball category in here, and you will see the same thing over and over in here from them.
My apologies to actual intelligent Yankee fans out there that might know the game, but be realistic and understand that we don't judge your fan base based on you, we judge based on the idiots whose only argument for everything is "Red Sox suck, Yankees Rule!!! Best team in baseball ever!!!" And if you don't realize that the majority of your fan base acts like this, then maybe you don't know as much about the game as you think.

We are lucky to have A Rod are you serious, why are we lucky to have a 25 million dollar a year over rated choker. It was a bad deal to begin with, we did not need him and When I found out about the deal 4 years ago I didn't like it and nothing he has done in last 4 years changed my mind. Yea he had 54 homers this year big deal, most of the times he chokes when you need him in a clutch situation, and as far as post season goes batting .071 as a Yankee I could do better than that and I'de do it for free.

There's a stereotype that with a team who likes to "buy everything", that the fanbase consists of nothing but uneducated, rude fans, which is entirely not true. I'm a devoted Yankee fan since 1993, before Steinbrenner, before Torre, even before Cashman.

I don't hate the Yankees as much as I do some of the uneducated bandwagon fans they have. Not all, but many.
They like to taunt and bash just as much as anyone else... but it's no fun to be on the other side.
