I reread favorite books and some of them are:
The Bible NKJV, anything by John Steinbeck, Jayne Eyre,
Charles Dickens, Audobon Society Field Guides,
Daphne Du Maurier, Robert Frost, just a tiny sampling.
I love to read. The poorest person in this material world, who learns to read, soon becomes wealthy in imagination and thought.

Oh, God yes. Incessantly. Whenever I reread something, it always seems more complex, like I missed something.
I try to read "Gone Away Lake" by Elizabeth Enright every now and again. I've read the Lord of the Rings three times. "The Last Unicorn" by Peter Beagle is good for when I'm sad. Basically, I'll reread anything if I'm desperate, or if I remember really liking the book but cannot remember the entire plot.

Power books like grammar and logic are worth rereading! Encyclopedia articles very much so. Shakespeare's works make difficult reading but a must for full coverage of the English language. Just read books that interest you. Read them over and over and munch the flavor of books.

When I get bored with fiction, I'll reread my Civil War and Tudor England histories, or some of the biographies.
I reread my entire 'Brother Cadfael' series (Ellis Peters) and my 'Richard Sharp' books (Bernard Cornwell) fairly regularly.

I re-read books very rarely. The one series that I did that with was The Wheel Of Time by Robert Jordan. Since books come out once a year or so and in order to keep up with everything, I had to re-read everything.
I don't do it anymore. Those books are just too dragged out and painful to read six or seven times.

Yes. When I haven't had a chance to get any new books, I'll usually pick up an old favorite such as "Gone With the Wind" or "Mists of Avalon" or one of the Harry Potter books.

I write military fiction books and always love rereading them to find any errors I missed and to simply enjoy my writing and work on being better.

Some books are so that every time you re-read them it is like you are reading them for the first time. Dante's Divina Commedia, Steinbeck's East of Eden, Faulkner's Light in August are some examples.
