my niece is called summer, its a really pretty name. Im assuming that woods is your surname in which i would point out maybe you should choose summer-marie or summer-leanne. and use a double barreled name. you can always cut it down to just summer but when they introduce theirselves it can be the full name. if you get my meaning.

Hi,
At the end of the day it is your choice and your baby and you can pick any name you like, regardless on what people on here think about it.
I like the name Summer and think it nice with the surname Woods.
I also like the name Eden ... Eden Woods!
I don't think it sounds stupid ... someone I know has the surname Waters so called her little boy Blue Waters! That was lovely name although so wrong to others!

summer is very pretty - if the baby is due in the summer it would be very nice but i wouldn't pick it if the baby is not due in the summer
summer would also be a very nice middle name

depending on what time of day the baby is born

june
natalie for a baby born at christmas
but i would probably only use these names as middle names

Summer is fine - depending on where you live - but Summer Woods is just going to attract comments like - We know where you were conceived then don't we? - for the whole of her life.
Maybe a partial rethink is required.

NO way, i think summer is a really nice girls name- i nearly named my daughter that- but to follow it with woods is not right, it sounds really corny

Personally I like it.. I also chose more earthy names for my children's middle names and gave them more common, beautiful names as their first. I had to remember that even though I was the one choosing the name it was not mine. It was theirs and although beautful to us a Dr or an attorny might not enjoy having to introduce her self as Summer Woods.
