I am all for saving the environment and I do my fair share, but actions speak louder than words. This "do as I say" but "not as I do" attitude does not work. Gore still flies on private planes while he tells everyone else to fly commercial. He asks people to ride bikes, buy hybrid cars and walk while he drives in an SUV. He asks us to live in straw houses and conserve energy while he uses 100 times the normal amount of power in one of his 5 homes.

There are many respected scientists and think tanks that have asked Gore to debate but he continually refuses. His movie was full of false statements. Why is he afraid to debate the issues?

Here are the websites you requested. Gore did state in fact that people should live in houses made of straw. Check out eh pamphlet he handed out at global warming concerts. He in fact does have 5 HOMES. Even the left wing USA today says he is a liar about he himself being green.

You are absolutely right that Al Gore is a hypocrite. In fact though he wrote that the invention of the combustible engine was the single greatest invention by man causing the most environmental damage he was the deciding vote when he was VP to alleviate the gas tax. My God he should have been jumping up and down clicking his heals that gas was expensive. Studies show there is a direct correlation between the price of gas and its usage.

Other than the fact Gore is indeed a hypocrite when it comes to his votes and lifestyle he is right on the theory at least. Global warming is a fact. How much man is contributing to that fact is in dispute but IMO man is a significant factor if not the tipping point in what will ultimately extinct many species including our own if we do not act like ten years ago.

No matter what we are going to get blasted and have already been blasted by the effects of global warming with the bleaching of coral reefs, record number of hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods, as well as endangered habitats for coral, glacier, and polar wildlife, melting and warming at an alarming pace.

In short do what Gore says not what Gore does because global warming is no joke. Either we change our modus operandi or we die, that simple.

There are no respectable scientists or think tanks that want to debate Gore.
The people that want to debate are the sensationalist BS artists that will use any cheap trick to confuse the issue, muddy the water and throw mud at the other people. While this might be good enough for politicians, but not for scientists.
True scientists do not debate. They do careful research and write meticulous papers. The demonstrate their points with scientific demonstrations. Others that disagree do their own research and publish their own papers.
Finally, Gore never told us to live in straw houses. He is taking steps to reduce the energy consumption in his one (not five houses) and is taking small steps to reduce his ecological foot print. He left his opinions on YOUTUBE instead of a debate. At least it has scientific facts.

There are people who have made up their minds, and no debate will change anything. Politician Al Gore understands that there is no point having a debate with them, it would just be an exchange of propaganda.

He has been quite active with people interested in figuring out the situation and help educate people who are interested in the truths. I consider it exremely bold of a politician to publish books on a controversial subject.

The normal behavior is to make different promises to different interest groups. A bit difficult to play that game when your posiition is in black & white in some book.

Did you know that some politicians are targest for assassination. Do you want to ride commercial planes with such individuals, planes that are much more likely to get deliberately crashed because some big name person is on it. I don't.

Why do you say that his movie was full of false statements. There are no experts who agree with your claim. Do you have a link to a climitologist who disagrees with the movie? Do you have a basis for your claim? Or do you think that your hatred of Al Gore and anyone who defends America makes you an expert on all subject matters.

Kind of like "No, I don't know anything about anything, but I did get paid by a Republican last night."
