^^^ A person who owns a book store isn't going to know anything about comics. That's like taking your baseball card collection to Dick's Sporting Goods
Rico'sLori, you can contact me, elijya@aol.com I've been collecting comics for over 15 years, and used to work at my local store, so I can help you find out what you need to know
If you want to sell them on ebay... then look on ebay, try to find some of the comics you have and see what people have been buying them for.
Don't get an inflated idea of what they're worth, though, as not all comics are worth alot of money. Fortunately since they're X-Men books, there's usually interest in even the minor titles. The value goes up with every decade older that they are. If they're from the 90s-2000s, you might still be looking at under a dollar an issue selling as a lot on ebay. If they're from the 80s, you'll probably get over a dollar a peice. And if they're from the 60s or 70s, you have some good money on your hands and should put a little more effort into selling them properly to get the most. Be wary of price gudies, though - If you want to see prices you can look the books up on www.comicspriceguide.com , but the prices listed there are not realistic for you. Books which routinely sell for 50 cents a peice in the real market still appear as being worth $2.50 in price guides, which is completely bogus.
You'll want to make a catalogue, comprised of titles and issue numbers. Don't bother with the dates of publication or the story titles, just "X-Men", "New X-Men" "Uncanny X-Men" "X-Men Adventures" "X-Factor" etc. and the issue which is right on the cover.
Condition is also going to be important. Have they been kept in polypro bags with cardboard backings? Don't handle them too much if they aren't
Most importantly on ebay is that you want to have pictures. You want to have a good, clear, detailed picture of a single issue to give buyers an idea of what the condition of of the whole collection is, and then some pictures to show everything that's included. Again, browse ebay and see how people sell collections on there and what works and what doesn't.
Oh, and I assume you have decent ebay feedback?

sure we purchase comics books yet it relies upon on what it incredibly is as to how lots you will get. something from the final 2 an prolonged time would be at approximately 5-10% of cost instruction manual "expenditures". something older would matter on what it incredibly is and what difficulty it incredibly is in. the main you are able to desire to truly desire for is 50% of instruction manual. this is the least confusing thank you to sell your comics. the different possibilities are to lease area at a comedian prepare and sell them (not possibly good fee) or to make the attempt and record them on eBay or craigslist or someplace like that. determine you already know what you have and supply solid descriptions. in case you like greater info enable me understand...

Find a used book store in your area, and ask the proprietor if he knows someone who can appraise them. He may be able to do it for you himself.
