yes it will,a usb floppy drive is plug,n,play and should be recognized by the p.c as soon as it boots up
the main uses of floppy drives today are for bootable floppy disk in start up disks,in a case like this you can set bios to boot from a usb device
some p.c,s have a option in set up(bios)were you need to enter set up and then go to intergrated peripherals and then enable usb floppy support,so check this out aswell
also try the manufacturers website, thats allways the best place to try for any information on the product in question
good luck mate !

It depends on your motherboard if it supports usb boot from a usb device because it will load the usb driver to its flash memory in able to run usb devices in dos environment. otherwise you need to wait windows operating system to load before you can start using your usb drive

if you are asking if you could use you usb floppy drive in dos environment without loading windows operating system (eg. you need to reboot your pc using your usb floppy drive), it will not work except your motherboard supports it.

It does work. Windows uses MS-DOS. So both work together. The gui interface is what most people are used to. You an use windows in Dos mode and type in install to install the drivers for the usb device.

It doesn't matter about being able to boot from USB, it doesn't matter about the motherboard, it doesn't matter about plug and play, it doesn't matter about Windows, it doesn't matter about........

DOS doesn't recognize USB, PERIOD. End of question. There are some USB drivers for DOS out there, they have very limited success, but if you could get one of those to work it would be possible, but difficult.

Look in your BIOS. It may be able to boot from USB.

When you say "dos" do you mean real proper MS-Dos, or XP command line???
