i really care about this male friend of mine. Doubt his feelings are as strong but it makes it awkward to talk to him about this. I have a feeling that another male friend of ours has made claims about being with me and it might explain why last year my friendship with the first guy all but ended. Anyway, should I go to him and tell him that if he heard these rumours they are not true? i want to put things right and clear my name if it has been taken, set the record straight etc.or is this a big mistake? can you all help me? You have been brilliant in the past.i am just afraid i am stepping into dangerous territory

If it is not true, then YES...tell him.

Talk to your male friend. Explain that the other friend has said some lies about you and you want to clear things up. If you can, discuss this in the presence of the person who lied. That would really put him on the spot and he could hardly deny his lies.
I wish you luck. It's a shame that some loser could ruin a potentially good relationship for you.

A wise person once said "If you really, truly desire something, you must be willing to risk everything in order to obtain it. " That being said, if this guy is important enough to you, you will do whatever you can to try to win his heart.

If you really care about him, and you think it is what created the divide between you two., come clean. At least you tried.
