Good question! Where ARE all of the headlines talking about US defeat and failure in Iraq?

For that matter, where are all the news headlines about how Bush's environmental policies are creating global warming, thus creating all of the devistating hurricanes that keep slamming the Southeast portion of........oh wait a minute, there aren't any hurricanes.

Okay, well then how about all of those headlines about how the United States is about to start World War III by threatening military force against North Korea unless they......oh wait a minute. We're actually successfully negotiating with them.

Okay, well then how about all of those headlines about how the economy is going down the toilet and how the stock market is dropping faster than a rock dropped out of a........oh wait a minute, the feds lowered the interest rates, stocks rebounded, and the economy is back on pace to set new record highs.

Gosh, come to think of it, what WILL the liberal media in this country report on if there isn't any major bad news. Better hope for another tsunami! Otherwise people might actually stop buying newspapers and watching cable news and actually enjoy their evenings with their families for a change!

media mostly show bad things that happen in the world because only the bad thing get the attention of the people. If the media tells the news of someone did some charity, no one will pay attention to it. Instead if they give some news about some person who committed a series of murders, the people will be interested.

There have always been high points in Iraq and positive notes that they could have presented us with.

They are right where they have always been - in their little jaded corner of the world, as evidenced by some of the responses you've received here.

We get a highly sanitized version of the violence in Iraq at all times, however now it is really, really sanitized because it is close to election time. The republicans want people to feel like we are winning and that things are getting more peaceful over there. Just another tool to try and get the votes.

Things are always bad in Iraq. Nearly a million innocents - dead. Nearly 4 thousand caskets within which we find the bodies of our own.
No one needs to be reminded of death day in and day out. And the media does follow the deaths, devastation and destruction of Iraq. But a better source is right here on line.
IF you can stomach it.

try www.abc.com.au , we have stuff you don,t see.
australian broadcasting comission.
the public monitors it for bias and so does a board, to ensure equal airtime and variety of opinions.
sbs tv here also airs european news and views on stuff, i reckon they have an accessible web page too.
