They have good players in place, the right manager for their players, the scouting staff did the best job by finding the right talent so they deserve a lot of credit but when credit is doled out it will go first to the GM, he hired the Manager (extended his contract) and hired the scouting personel. The manager will get all kinds of credit for making the right moves at the right time but who deserves the most credit...THE PLAYERS!!! Without the players you have no game and money coming in. You have to credit the product, much like you have to give credit to the beer you are drinking for being good...when you down a cold one do you say, "That was a good beer" or do you say, "The Brewer did that right and the owner of the Company really puts out a great product, and the guy that found that water source really was on to something." NAH you give the beer the credit...credit always goes to the product but if it is a bad product you blame the producer (ie, Manager, GM, Scouts...)

Well the players produce the actual results; so perhaps they deserve the credit. But the management (the scouting department in particular) should be congratulated for finding and developing a lot of young talent. This year was a bit more on the lucky side; but they have the ability to be perennial contenders, along with that young Arizona team.

The hungry Rockies lineup. It's deja vu all over again. The Rockies are this years version of last years Cardinals. A mediocre team that just happen to get hot at the right time. Holliday has played out of his mind and Todd Helton has been the steady rock the team has needed all season. We'll see just how far this scenario plays out.

Shared effort. Upper Management (GM, etc.) for putting the team together, the manager Clint Hurdle for motivating the team, and the players for believing in themselves and putting it all together in winning 16 of 17 or whatever it is-- including 11 in a row at one point. Coors Field is going to be nuts tomorrow for Game 3. As a NL West fan (Dodgers), I wouldn't mind seeing the Rockies and D-Backs in the NLCS and see what happens.

Well management aside, Matt Holliday's done a LOT for the Rockies these past three games, as did Todd Helton.

I always say no matter how many good players you have if they don't gel as a team it won't work
So the whole team management and players should get the credits
But that is my opinion

It takes a team effort, good management, hear, luck, and skill to win championships. When you go sweep your road games in the post season, that says you are for real.
