An 83 year old women was driving with a 79 year old in her passenger seat when a woman with a large SUV came into their lane and hit them head on, giving the woman who has osteoperosis a broken ankle, foot, and knee cap, and the male a small broken sternum. The suv driver was lifestarrred.

The woman's injuries have a settlement value of arounf $250,000. The man's injuries could be worth more or less depending on how well the fracture has healed, whether there was cardiac or pulmonory injury.

Definitely speak to a scary shark. Do not speak to any insurance company representatives, they'll try to get off cheap.

I would say yes. Contact an injury lawyer. Most do not charge unless they collect for you. Do not settle with the insurance company until you at least talk to a lawyer.

women in suv was she drunk or at fault or was it just an accident?
accidents do happen and just have to face it that not everybody should be filing lawsuits
and two old people like maybe shouldnt be driving around by them selves maybe their reaction time is slow and they could have avoided the accident

I would get a good ambulance chasing lawyer because even after their amazing paycheck, it is your best bet for getting the most for these two seniors. I would get on it right away too and if you are doing this for them, I respect you for it, not enough people help our senior citizens or respect them like they should. Our fast paced, youthful society brushes them away too fast and I want to thank you for not doing that...Good Luck....S

Absolutely...excellent grounds for a civil suit and I hope they are sufficiently recovered enough to pursue it.
