OK, now that I have used a tabloid headline to get your attention, my question is why do Rush Limbaugh's statements get 100 times the attention of real issues facing our nation? Someone posted a question about the Council on Foreign Relations earlier, one answer (mine). The Rush thing has been beaten to death back and forth all week. Can we possibly have a real discussion about real issues?
What is the most important issue facing our country today? I believe it is the NAU . . . curious to hear what others have to say.

Anthony- I have to disagree with the "he knows how to get women comment" Come on, you are President of the US, the most popular president in hollywood in 40 years, and you get caught with an overweight, unattractive intern? Kennedy, he knew how to get women.

I agree that the NAU and Immigration are closely related. Certainly the amnesty bill and the dream act were an attempt at integration of our three countries.

Phillip McCrevice: Do you really think that EITHER party has a candidate that will make a difference? We have had R control of this country for 20 of the past 28 years and we are still headed on a path toward destruction. They set one another up as the boogeyman and we buy into while they are both selling us out to the highest bidder.

If Britney has an affair with Bill....I'd say good for him.
Most neocons hate Bill because they are jealous, he knows how to get women and does it quite well.
PS...the CFR is a bunch of nutty neocons finding ways to advocate endless war.

The reason Rush is getting so much attention is because the people who are 'attending" have an agenda driven by people with billions to spend and want to guarantee a democrat in every house, senate, & executive branch of government.
Should they get their way, America as we know it is going to change a lot.
One of the more frightening changes will be the lack of people willing to fight for the Country anymore. No one wants Hillary as Commander in Chief that I know, & I know a lot of people.
The second thing is your taxes will be going up within 6 months.
Third, you'll see a nation more accepting of extermination of the elderly just as they exterminate the unborn. Elderly cost a lot to keep alive and require something America is in short supply, CARE!
But all this is going to happen anyway, so why not focus on Limbaugh and a guy who had by-pass surgery getting it on with Brittany Spears? Hope his Viagra can mix with the Lipator & Coreg OK.
Just hate Presdiential funerals, don't you?

Britney isn't in jail, she INsane!
Your question made me laugh, as much as I can't stand the two, I could never see that as a possibility.
FYI - Now that her ex hubby has custody of the kids, she needs to have monitored visits with her kids. Poor soul. I haven't really been on here in the passed few weeks but I actually had a free moment to wonder why a private citizen is so in the middle of POLITICAL debate! It's crazy! You are right though, there should/could be better issues to discuss by our senate, congress and bloggers.

THAT IS FUNNY!!! Nice attention getter. I was laughing when I read that one.
I agree. We spend WAY too much time on irrelevant things.
As for the most important issue, I would say illegal immigration, and that and the NAU are certainly related issues.
I cannot believe that so far the majority have responded to the headline. It is no wonder the issues are not discussed. Majority of posters are morons.
Spleen...I would like to see you point out TWO religions which currently (in this modern age) start or fuel violence. Two who in major conflicts anywhere in the world...you can't because the only modern religion which promotes violence is Islam.

To me the most important issue is the war. Unfortunately the dems don’t want to make it an issue in their campaigns for a variety of reasons. The most important would be having to accept that is going better then what they wish it was only for their own political aspirations. The Rush issue keeps them away from what they should be talking about, though I must say they stepped into doo-doo by making false allegations and using the floor of the house to do it. Now they have to explain their bad behavior and tactics to suppress the speech of private citizen.

the most important issue facing the country? Illegal Immigration hands down. This issue will potentially have the most dramatic effect in changing the country over the next few decades.

The most important issue is the distortion and outright deception from mainstream media today and the large number of brainless fools who buy into it.
Get enough of these fools to vote Democrat, and we are in a world of hurt.
