Seat that came with the bike is smooth but all references to the stock seat show 52166-01 and this seat has buttons in it. The seat in question came with the bike new. I referenced the 2001 P&A catalog and do not see it in there so I am assuming that it is not a P&A part. Prior to 2001 the stock seat had a -96 part number but that still has the buttons in it. From the pictures in the part book it looks like a lowrider seat to me but all references I find say that the FXDWG uses a unique seat HELP...

both answers above are wrong. the bobbed rear fender on the wide glide move the rear seat mounting hole to a different location. you can drill out the rear mounting tab for the seat so it lines up with the fender mounting hole.
and all dyna frames are not the same either. the fxd had a 28' neck rake, whereas the lowrider and wideglide had a 32' neck rake.

Yes, the Dyna frame is the same regardless of the suspension.
The width of the triple tree or the height of the shocks in no way effects how the seat mounts.

I'm not positive about the fender, but will agree with viking about the rake. The Superglide has the least rake of the Dyna series.
