No one really knows for sure. One guy got inside the fridge to check. But they found him froze the next morning so he couldn't tell us. All we can do is hope. I've tried sneaking up on it but that didn't work either.

of course it goes off, the fridge has a little switch near the door, when you close the door it pushes the switch in so it can shut the light off... or, if you want to find out by you self, how about get in the fridge and close the door. (make sure you have a body who can get you out of there!!!

Yes fridge light will go off, try to open your fridge door then look the small switch located near the fridge door hinge, by testing it while it is open just press that small switch then you will notice that fridge light will go off.

YUP. If you look around the inside edge of the unit you will see the switch/button that gets pushed by the door to shut the light off.

Yep, there's a switch on it, when the door comes in contact with the switch, the light switches off.
Don't believe me, locate it, and push it in, if the light goes off, I'm right.
Just curious, are you serious. There's no way you're that uninformed.

oh yes, it does....
there is a switch like thing near the hinge of the fridge door which gets pressed when you close it

No... it stay on all night so that the kitchen bug can play around our lunches and dinners. Haven't you ever noticed those little black stuff in your food?
