I have tried Firefox and I couldnt see any difference as I dont bother with many add ons, also I only ever got a virus when I was using Firefox for a week - so I went back to Internet Explorer! With Internet Explorer you can get an add on called IE7Pro which gives you multiples options including blocking flash and ads which I now use and it works really well!

Having used both Internet Explorer and Firefox, I think using firefox is most advantageous. Firefox protects you from maliculious scripts which are mostly designed for IE. But using Firefox can be a bit complicated and looks like a headache for the first 5 min.

IE is more apt to view pages how it sees fit and not necessarily in conjunction with current W3C standards while Firefox will view the pages as they are designed.
Some sites are specifically coded with IE in mind (poor design) and will only be viewable correctly in IE.
Firefox has more plug-ins to configure the way you want and is much more manageable.
In short it's a matter or preference and usage that will determine which browser you use. I use both with Firefox being used 90% of the time and IE the other 10%.

This probably a matter of preference. I use Mozilla. Also, you may try Opera.

The main thing on browsers is to learn how they work and how to use all the features that they have available. So, reading the web-site "Getting Started" pages and those things help you learn. Many people never know what all they really can "Tweak" in their browser as they never take the time to learn.

Mozilla Firefox is safer compare to IE. But very few features in IE is good compared to FF. Like preview all tabs, zoom etc.
But FF comes with lot of add-ons that is not available in IE.

I use Firefox because:
1. Not as many viruses written for it.
2. It's not a Microsoft product (principle of the thing).
That's just my personal preference, so caveat emptor.

Firefox 2.0 is better than IE 7.0.
Mozilla is an open-source, so we can add add-ins into it.
And also, the IE is very slow.
