Weblogs are, in their essence, personal websites that contain entries on the topics near and dear to the heart of the blogger. They may be more or less expert on the topic, or simply a lifetime hobbyist. In addition to journal like discourses on various topics, it can include mp3s, images and short films.

Hi. They started out as 'web logs' but this was shortened to 'blog'. They are sites where you can post your thoughts on just about any subject.

blog shortened from web log and its basically a cyber diary where you can right thoughts,how you feel and talk about basically any subject you want

It's a bit like a diary. You write in it your thoughts and you can do it on Yahoo where I do mine. You can have it private or public. It is quite fun and is a good way to learn about yourself or others.
