Removing the BIOS battery of a laptop is not something you should need to do.

Though if you've got a stolen laptop and want to resell it removing the BIOS battery will not clear the password, and it's a good thing too.

If you have a legitimate need to reset the password and proof that you own the computer then you can pay the manufacturer to remove the password.

Still trying to bypass that password?

What if you are wrong and it is not a BIOS password? If you remove the battery and clear the CMOS, then your PC might not even boot up or may perform erratically.

hahahaha, open the computer and look for the c-mos battery, its on the mother board, its round and silver. google it!!!!
