Im hearing people talk about how Kevin Garnett will tear everyone up down low and Pierce & Allen will be wide open on the outside. Will this happen? Are Pierce, KG and Allen each going to average 20 pts? If so, we'll just be looking for 10 pts/quarter from the rest of the team. Thats crazy. I am excited about this team, which says a lot because around here, its been a long time since we've been able to get excited about the Celts.

I think its very possible but as with many teams we've seen over the years they need to learn how to play as a team. They are all really good scorers when someone is passing them the ball, but now that they are all together who's gonna be the one to do that? They've yet to establish a point guard, and they still have an empty spot at big man. Teams will exploit their age and over the course of 82 games one more is bound to end up injured, especially since there is no back-up. Its possible the big three could be fishin again this year. Truth be told they look good on paper and I love the bick ticket's passion, but i just don't think they're ready this year. I mean look at phx...they got 3 all-stars on their team but still can't get it together. It hurts to admit this being that i am a huge suns fan.

They have the potential on paper to be one of the best. They have the best player in Kevin Garnett. He plays everynight & very rarely misses games very durable. However I think its going to depend upon the durablity of Ray Allen & Paul Pierce. They will have great scorers & KG's defense is 2nd to none but they don't have a big man or a legitimate point guard. The east is weak as shown last year Lebron took Cleveland to the finals by himself so there is no reason KG, Ray Allen & Paul Pierce couldn't take Boston to the Finals.

The favorites in the East this year in no order have to be:

Boston
Miami
Detroit
Cleveland

good now the Pistons is the only team that has the comparable firepower to out stay against Boston's very own. the opportunities of James duplicating the comparable success they had in 2007 is amazingly small, somewhat now with Celtics in there. they'd beat certainly one of the two communities aforementioned yet taking on 2 will circulate away Cleveland out of gasoline. Elton type's addition with the Sixers is a great strengthen for his or her team yet with the long record of historic injuries that have plagued type relationship back while he replaced into with Chicago the Sixers could go their palms. So i think of yeah Pistons is the only "particular" team to contend against Boston. wish this facilitates.

You know, it's going to be hard to say. KG and Pierce both move the ball well, and Ray Allen is as a pure of a SG as you'll get in this league. It's entirely possible, just depends on how well they play together, additionally, how well all the role players do their job too.

OK but
ray Allen-26.4 ppg last year
Kevin Garnett-22.4 ppg last year
Paul pierce-25.0 ppg last year
now the biggie
they all average 4.1 assist last year which leaves there teammates with only about 24 ppg and the other 2 projected starters(James posey) maybe (Kendrick Perkins) or (Glenn Davis) bot average together on 3 assist per game which leave the other players about 30 ppg, my point is how are these guys going to share the ball, you know that reebok commercial with kevin garnett and he says"it's takes five" now it will only take three but they will be the top seed but i dont see them in the championship, i c them in the conference finals losing to the pistons

Raptor's have depth that the rest of the east dreams about.
Toronto is the best in the east this year.
But the Celts are looking good, will make the Atlantic worth watching.
