Thanks for help guys, lots of mixed answers. Unfortunately I have no one else I want to drop, my other LW beings Zetterberg and Brunette. I think I will keep Blake but keep an eye on Whitney. Like someone said I bet that if i Drop Blake he will have a great season and Whitney will get Injured or something lol

Oh and rcds, thats a hard one too. I just picked up Horton from FA in my league. Looking at the numbers Arnott had a pretty average season last year, Horton was much better but I have a feeling Arnott could have a very good season this year, if you take a risk on Arnott it could pay off...

Take Whitney. Whitney has been a force on just about every team he's been on (one of only a handful of players in NHL history to lead three different teams in scoring (Gretzky and Jagr among the others)) and has more skill than Blake.
Blake had a very good year last year as the star on a weak Islanders team.
Whitney is more likely to be at the same level as last year than Blake is to have a 20% increase in points (which would only get him to Whitney's level)

Take Whitney
The Leafs were one of only two teams that offered Blake a contract, and the Leafs offer was considerably higher than the other offer.
Blake had a career year last year, one which I don't see him repeating.
Whitney on the other hand averaged just over 1.00 ppg last year. The 6th time in his career he's averaged more than 0.9 ppg (Something Blake has yet to do).
Whitney plays on a better team as well with better linemates.
I say go with Whitney. With his linemates he should easily achieve 1.00 ppg. Blake would need another career year to achieve that. Based on the Leafs first two games, they are a one line team, and one line teams quickly get shut down

Although there is a wee bit of truth to the suggestion you should ask this elsewhere, I understand a need to talk to the real experts on the sport so you get a pass on that from me.
As to your question, it's nearly a flip a coin situation. Yes, traditionally Whitney is a pretty good point producer and he plays on the top line so PP time si good as well BUT Blake now plays on a top line and will also pleny of PP time with Mat Sundin beside him AND since there is a big physical side to Blake's game IF you have a league with PIMs you may want that extra nudge in that category.
Is there no other you'd consider dropping because they might both be good on your roster?
Also be careful making changes early other than IR swaps or you may be mad at yourself later when someone scoops the guy you drop and he goes on to have one heck of a year.

Depends on what your team needs. Blake will be good for goals and possibly PIM, but Whitney will be good for the other offensive stats (plus\minus, assists, PPP). Goals are usually hard to come by in fantasy leagues and Blake also shoots a lot so he'll help you in that category. Even though whitney will get more points I think you should stick with Blake for the time being. It was also pointed out that you may want to drop someone else for whitney, possibly your fourth defenseman whoever that may be.

Blake is on a good Leafs team and should get plenty of points with Sundin there too. Do me a favor and answer me this in return: Nathan Horton or Jason Arnott?

Hard choice... both players had career years last season...
Whitney is on a line with Staal and Cole... that would make me feel pretty secure... I like Blake's potential and wouldn't be so quick to drop him... is there anyone else crappier you can drop? Blake did lead a team in scoring that included Yashin, Hunter and Satan...
I'll vote Whitney...

Horton...

i like enjoying fable Baseball. Yahoo makes it incredibly straightforward to play, notably for beginners. My superb suggestion is whilst finding for a league to connect, choose for one that asserts beginners welcome. commonly the people who're in those leagues are greater desirable than happy to assist new gamers. be careful however, because of the fact some will attempt to take benefit throughout the time of trades. thankfully, different gamers will commonly end an unfair commerce. With video games being performed commonplace, this is somewhat intimidating for beginners, yet Yahoo has made this user-friendly as nicely. on your team internet site, you are able to desire to look on the forthcoming days and set your roster to that end. I commonly seem a minimum of five days in strengthen and make optimistic i don't have gamers that are actually not enjoying taking over roster slots. this is incredibly straightforward to edit them additionally. in basic terms a drag and drop. additionally continually use the help area while you're puzzled over something. in case you have a sensible telephone or pill, working your team is even much less confusing! There are great unfastened and paid apps which will assist you seem in any respect your communities and edit them from one place. The yahoo app certainly has warning notifications in case you have gamers on your team that have not any interest that day. That wy you are able to fairly replace your roster so which you're actually not lacking out on any helpful factors. the excellent component to do is relax and characteristic relaxing! it incredibly is a interest in spite of everything, and its meant to be relaxing not demanding!

I'd say Ray Whitney, he had a monster year last year, and I think that this year will be even better.
