I think they state it as a basis on what happened to all nurses who cheats on the board exam and i think it is not fair but it feels so saddened that all med school in the philippines is being affected by this humor and judgement... anyway the damage is all done so any apology has nothing to do because it will remember again & again by the televiewers who watched that show.... better to fired the writers who did that script and prove to all american's that they are wrong that we, filipino's are truly excellent and the best doctors and nurses or even employees all over the world..

by the way i dont care about the show desperate housewives!

It is very disappointing hearing comments like this. For one, there are schools here in the Philippines which are very competitive in terms of educational standard. Another thing, Filipino doctors in the US have already proven themselves because they wouldn't be practicing doctors abroad if they didn't passed a lot of test, and have gained recognition. And even though it was only meant to be a joke, Filipino doctors didn't spend 5- 10 years in med school just to be an object of a joke in a tv show. I also believe that a doctor should be respected whatever race he comes from.

And as this issue is being resolved, I believe that we could also learn from it. This issue should be a challenge to us, to excel more in our fields and prove them wrong. That inspite of belonging to the 3rd world country, Filipinos are very competitive, skilled and smart. Also this teaches us to respect each other inspite our cultural differences.

Much furor over the subject had filled the pages of Yahoo Answers over the past days, especially in YAP (Yahoo Answers->Philippines) such that regulars in YAP have also made a wager on whether or not a fiftieth(50th) Question would ever crop up. My reaction was a one-time answer, and that this is Show Biz, and we can either take it or leave it.

We are honored in this page by the answer of someone from Show Biz, who herself was admittedly shocked by the video clip. I can only, therefore, conclude that perhaps show biz in the Philippines hopes for rapport with our American brethen, however unlikely it would seem.

it was totally out of line, not teri hatcher though. i like her and i like the show very much. it was the scriptwriter's fault and the director for creating such a fuss with it. filipino workers are known to be hardworking, and they work with compassion. there may be some news about leakage at last year's nursing board exam, but it doesn't mean every medical professional, or anyone at all is a screw up or cheaters. these people who have cheated on their exams are dumb, because they're afraid of flunking their most important exam because they didn't prepare for it. filipino workers are in demand every where. be it in care giving, workmanship, or whatever. they are willing to leave their own family behind to take care of other people just so they could earn money for their family. sounds funny and odd but that's how it is.

I felt bad about it.
It seems like there arent any good doctors nor nurses here in the Philippines.
Its quite peeving, for the fact that alot of filipino nurses are working in the US to make discriminations like that.

i was disappointed when i did get to watch the clip! i am a fan of the show so like the other fans, i was shocked to see it.

it is great that the issue is slowly getting resolved with abc's apology to the philippines. but the best thing that will come out of this is a heightened awareness and sensitivity to making racial remarks. and as someone who works in media, i hope that every talent in the future will not say just any line, just because it was in the script.

and as a last remark.. there are sooo many great filipino doctors, nurses, and therapists..!

So now she is living in a fantasy about the size of this guys knob. I think it is funny but I would watch out if you continue to see this guy she might want to get a little closer to the snake. She is probably searching the web to see monster knobs now because she was flirting.

My reaction is that I do not think that it is much of a scandal, and that it will soon be forgotten.
