Have you tuned your television/settop box or whatever you are using to obtain freeview? You need to do that before you can get a signal. If you have, have you checked that your aerial is ok? They do warn that you need to have an old aerial checked out. Finally, I have to say that the freeview signal can be 'hitty-missy'. We lived in rural south-west Durham when we first started viewing freeview channels and had very few problems. Now we've moved to about 30 miles south of London, 20 miles from the transmitter at Crystal Palace and sometimes we go several days without a digital signal. I just hope they improve things before analogue is switched off.

You may need a new aerial to get Digital (freeview) TV
Set top aerials are usually not good enough unless you are in a strong signal area.
Try retuning the digi box (select the 'first installation' option)
you should get *some* channels found, even with a poor aerial

{preggers, my brother gets the freeview digital signal..& excellent quality pictures.. through a set top box, but he is in a strong signal area, hence my proviso, above)

Most new free view boxes receive a signal from crystal palace so you need to point your outside aerial in its direction.
I have found that some boxes are better than others. I bought a Goodman's box that worked fine at my old address. I replaced it with another make and got no signal but when i managed to get a new Goodman's things worked fine again.

You can pick one up in this make at Argos keep the 16 day money back receipt and give it a try.

I hope i have been some help.

we've all been there!! you need an outside ariel, either on your roof or in your attic....without that you wont get it working, indoor ariels of any type will not transmit enough signal...good luck.

You need a digital capable aerial. Old aerials cant pick up digital signals.
