in the UK what is the kind of normal time for them to come in at night?

depends on the kid...

Strenght, streetwiseness, ability to fight (serious fighting)

Sensibileness, musical interest, if they are on their own, arrangements to get back, what the area you live in is like etc .

Its not so simple... if down the road at a Quaser centre or atamtes house then later.

We were going nightclubbing from 16. Often with lots of friends. But the rock scen has no fights or gang activity and people look after each other. Nor were we into alchol.

The clubs ended 2am add an hour to get home on nightbusses.

School nights are different
Hiphop/grime/garage culture is very different... very dangerous

Being 16 really aint that big a deal, and when you get a little bit older you'll realise that. I think going home straight after school is normal unless your doing something then i would say go home after you finish even then at a reasonable time. On the weekends though getting home by 10 -10:30 is acceptable. I'm 18 myself and looking back i wonder why i wasted my time doing nothing.

Well, I would imagine it would be the same no matter where you live. I have a 16-year-old son and he's in every night by 8:00 or so. Why would you want to be out running around late at night anyway?

Well where we live we've been given a phone number so that if you see teenagers 16 and under after 9 o clock we can ring and the police will come out it's a curfew all teenager have to be off the streets whether this applys to all the country I'm unsure.

I was always in by about 8 or 9 o'clock - but that was 17 years ago!

I think on a school night they should be in by 9, but on a weekend 10 or 11.

when i was 16 my mum wouldnt let me out after about 8/9!! im almost 19 now and can see why as we live in a horrible estate in london so whatever time you chose when theyre older they will understand you done it in their best interests. i would however sneak out until 11ish or stay at a friends and do all-nighters but if you have trust between you i wouldnt worry about this. i would say 10/11 is fine unless its a school night then 8/9.

Depends on the parents and the respect they get. I had to be in by 9pm, while my mates stayed out much later. It was just the way it was, my friends respected that and saw no reason to encourage me to disrespect my parents.

Come weekend I stayed out much later - I don't recall having any specific time to go home but as long as it wasn't too late.

When I left school I was able to decide for myself as to the time I rolled in - sometimes it'd be the early hours......oh, the fun I had. Those were the days!!

This really is something that differs from family to family but I would say that at 16 a decent curfew would be about 10:30pm.

it depnds where your going.

if your going to a friends and being picked up later id say 11 as you'd be indoors and safe.

but if your going out like just to hang out then id say around 10.

but at the end of the day it should be whenever your parents say they want you back, the more you do what your told the more they trust you.
