I have a few signature dishes... but I think for your party I would make my homemade cannelloni. At least the first party... for the next one I would bring something different!
oh... and since it's a cookout, I'll also bring my potato salad with added bits of granny smith apple! MAN! I love that!

Depends on how you and the other guests feel about what constitutes a meal. Suppose the other 10 guests also brought just two bags of chips as their "side dishes" -- would most everyone be happy with BBQ and 20 bags of chips as a meal? Or would you be peeved that "somebody else" didn't think to make potato salad, corn on the cob, chili, macaroni salad, cole slaw, etc.?

I'd bring the homebrew, of course.
And in Texas, you just can't have a BBQ unless you got some brisket, so I better fire up the smoker, toss in some hickory chips, and fill up the spray bottle with some Jim Beam. This is gonna take awhile.
