Whats wrong with Bracken? is he injured? I know Hussey is, Tait, Watson injured and Ponting finally back. McGrath, Martyn retired.Bevan forced to retire, no room for Gillespie. I think we can all now see why this team is so good - theres so much depth, they lose important players but still have the capacity to win. They lost Warne ang Gillespie in '03 WC and still won easily.
All teams have great players, but do other top teams have this sort of depth? Is this why they are on top?

Bracken is not injured he will start playing from the 4th or 5th ODI.
Tait & Watson will be playing the next series which is gonna be played at their home gound.
All teams do have great players but all are not great players.
But in the Australian team its the opposite, from my point of view i see that the Australian team does not have their important players but they do have many good players.
See - when all players get together only it becomes a team, & when every single of those players are good player only it becomes a good team. so are the Aussies, thats why they are on the top today.
So currently i dont think any other team have this sort of depth in their team, if they do have then they would be the top in the ICC rankings today.

While no one can deny the superiority of Australia don't forget that,India fared better after the return of Ponting.
We have to admit that the Indian team has some problems to sort out.India always struggles to function as a strong unit.
As for the Aussies the only problem is Brad Hodge right now which is the rightful place of Hussey.But why Haddin was overlooked.
Since Hopes is doing well,Bracken though available just had to wait.

Australia is an amazing team. A treat to watch for a fan. You can support them and go home happy after a game cos they sure do win! They are the masters of "the art of winning". Every other team is spending the same amount of time and money on their cricket. The Aussies are better cos they have turned it all in to an art-form!

With the depth that Australia has I am flabbergasted that Hodge is getting a game.
I have never been a fan of his. He scored 200 at the WACA, on a pitch where about 20,000 runs were scored, in a test against South Africa.
OK, I exaggerate on the 20,000 runs but it was drawn test where everyone scored a squillion runs. He hangs his hat on that innings - he gets an odd score but never in an important match, or at an important time.
Haddin or Voges should have played in the 3rd ODI.

Bracken stayed back due to family reason and now he is back in the team.
Since Australia have good bench strength, they always have 11 best players capable of performing well consistently, which is lacking in other reason. This is the main reason for the success of Australia

Most of the top teams have depth !
Take for eg. Indian team. Selectors do not know whom to select. This is so with most of the teams.
We have to appreciate the Cricket administration of Australia ! They know where and when to interfere .They do not poke their nose everywhere.!! They entrust the job to chosen specialists and give the required support.
If other administrations follow this, definitely , Australia can be challenged by atleast teams of India, Pak, Sri -Lanka, S.A, W.I ...etc..!!!

yea ur right. if aussies had hussey, tait etc , the score would have been 400 and aussies would have ot india out for 200 or less every time!!

exactly australia is a team where u can find only wins no losses....they have proved that in every game...they r the best in the international cricket...they play their natural game...they stick to the basics!!!!i dont think any team has so much depth like aus...even the tail enders contribute...that something gd!!!!!
