Should paedophiles be executed?

There is talk of castration, but I think it is in their head not their testicles, anyway what about female paedophiles (the lesbian tennis coach in the news) they don't have testicles.
I know execution is barbaric but these people are pure evil.

these ppl are sick in the head, they don't understand that what they have done is wrong, they see it as acceptable to them, they have urges that cannot be controlled. i think for the most serious cases like the rape of small babies yes i think execution should be allowed, lets face if with the physical damange done and dna evidence it isn't going to be hard to prove. why should we keep this evil ppl in jail or hospital in a relative lap of luxury when we have pensioners dying because they are cold or hungry. its not right but you wont get this lilly livered government bringing it back, the tide has turned too far to go back, mores the pity . ! xx

I'd say you're absolutely right about where paedophilia starts. I certainly can't see castration as any kind of a solution.

Trouble is, I despise the paedo's so much that I'd sooner spend money keeping them alive and in a state of pain and endless suffering than let them off the hook by offing the creeps.

Death really IS too good for some of the monsters out there.

It's classified as a psychosexual disorder with no known cure.

As for their victims, there is evidence to suggest that if there is proper therapeutic intervention, particularly in the case of young male victims, that the child will not go on to become a perpetrator as well. Even without intervention, a significant number of victims do not become paedophiles, although there may be ongoing psychiatric, emotional, and physical problems as a result of being sexually abused.

As for killing the adult perpetrator, these people cannot be cured. They believe that children want to have sex with adults. At the very least, they should be locked away permanently.

I think maybe that the term paedophile is a bit over used sometimes, there was a case in the paper a few months ago, where a 16 year old lad was named a paedophile and put on the sex offenders list for having sex with his 15yo girlfriend...
...But paedophiles as we mostly think of them, YES definitley, execution is tooo good for the scum!!!!

You are correct in saying that feelings towards their victims is inside their heads and we need to look at ways of curing this although,at the moment there does not seem to be a cure and, a lot more research needs to be done,as there will always be offenders.
To say "execute them" is of course a knee-jerk reaction and one that is very convenient and of course,an option however,all this could do is turn these people into killers of their victims which,would be horrendous for both the victims and families.
Early education and constant warnings throughout our children's lives would be more pro-active.

In my book execution is to quick, one shot and they die and their crimes against children are forgotten.
Let them rot in jail, but I don't mean a jail with air conditioning, flat screen TVs and all the other perks.
Put them in general population then on a rock pile.

Sure, along with the media that aids and abets pedophiles with their use, in ads, of scantily clad little Lolitas, many of whom are still teenagers. They perhaps also need to make an example of the stage mothers who push their little girls into pageants or buy their daughters 'Britney wannabee' outfits with the waists low and the hems high. The ones who say, 'They look adorable. What's wrong with showing a little skin' should be asked to stand on a street corner in theirr daughter's outfit for 24 hours.

He is one. No matter what the judge said. He had 11 images of child pornography on his computer and some video downloads involving 8 year old girls. HE IS A PAEDOPHILE. No doubt about it.
