If you want a tear terker then i have to say Beaches but if you want something to lift the mood then has to be Grease, Dirty Dancing or a recent film out called Because I Said So with Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore and that girl in Coyote Ugly in - really funny film - even my hubby laughed at it!! Have fun and dont forget the popcorn and chocolates!!

the best chick flick ever....50 first dates...you'll laugh your socks off and cry like a baby....drew barrymore is magical in it and adam sandler is a prince amoung men, 1 of the most touching films i've ever watched....
