I think he is really trying to change but I still think he should go to jail and be banned for life from the NFL. But it look like he trying to do some good...???

He isn't trying very hard. He tested positive on his drug test a week or so ago. He is the same loser that thought he was above the law and got caught.

Since he came up hot for drugs, how is this changing his life. I feel the same as I did 2-3 weeks ago. He should remain banned from the NFL forever. He will not change his life, or do anything to better himself. He will make a show for the media, but it will be fake. He did lie initially about his ivolvment with dog fighting, and then came clean. He will lie again, so how do you believe him?

Mike Vick is a poor role model for youth, and sets a bad example for the NFL as a whole.

You'll notice since he was caught he found God in a record amount of time (even for celebrities), he was busted for smoking marijuana, and he went to a class about respecting animals that was sponsored by PETA. If you ask me, its all too little too late, he is just trying to save face now, and make a case for himself to avoid as much jail time as possible, and to attempt to sweet talk Roger Goodell into letting him play again.

Federal sentencing guidelines say he should go to prison for up to five years, but the judge can disregard that. Personally, I hope he gets a significantly longer sentence because I don't hold much value on a person who is capable of something like this. I don't believe that he should ever be allowed to play in the NFL again, despite what some supporters feel. If the average joe were to be busted for financing and betting on dogfighting, we wouldn't get our jobs back after a lengthy prison stay, and we probably wouldn't be able to even resume a career anywhere above the entry level. I see no reason Vick should be able to get a job above entry level when he is released from prison.

I'm a native ATLien...season ticket holder for the Falcons since 98'. This town worshiped Vick at one point. Now he is showing himself to be what he always was...a moron thug. Should he go to jail? HELL YES! Should he be banned from the NFL for life? If the man ever puts on another NFL jersey its a complete slap in the face to fans like me!
We gave this guy a contract for 120million and he decided to start a dog fighting ring which featured fights at around 2500. Forget about how horrific dog fighting is...just the math alone shows this guys utter lack of intelligence and total disregard for the children who idolized him.
Just to name some of the Vick memorabilia I personally owned:
Signed Jersey
Signed Falcons Hat (he and Peerless Price)
Signed copy of Madden 04'
A Fathead of Vick for my TV room

Where is all this stuff now?? I burned it. No kidding...I threw it all in a big pile, doused it with lighter fluid and set it ablaze. Along with the signed Jersey I gave to my 8 year old son. Vick should never, ever, play in the NFL again...period! The fact that I had to explain to my boy why his childhood hero kills dogs is enough to bar him for this life and the next.

BUT IT LOOKS LIKE HE'S TRYING TO DO SOME GOOD? Give me a freaking break...he can become the National Spokesperson for PETA, The Human Society, The World Wildlife Fund and everyone else and its still only one thing....a cheap attempt to show himself as "regretful" to the public.

Don't get me wrong...I'm sure he is sorry! Sorry he lost his 120 million dollar contract with the Falcons not to mention untold millions from Nike, Air-Tran and other endorsements. This guy is so dumb it probably never occurred to him that this could happen...idiot! He made his bed, now he should lay in it...justice would be he lay in it with 50 or so of his beloved Pit Bulls. Oh by the way, he could have started his blood thirsty dog ring in Georgia where its a misdemeanor rather than back in Ole' Virginny! But that would have taken some type of thought process on his end...

He hasn't changed. He is the same person he was when he was caught. He is only behaving himself, going around saying he's sorry and that he found Jesus because he was charged with a major crime and is facing major jail time and a serious suspension. Now he is on the verge of being prosecuted by the state and is willing to do anything just so he can lessen whatever jail time he would get for that.

Pit bulls left in a room with Vick who had to witness what he did to their pals and family members and then were allowed to decide his fate might resolve this issue better than us humans. I don't particularly like dogs but I don't kill or bet on their life or death fighting for kicks either. I say let Pit bulls do to Vick what he did to pit bulls and then we need to forget about it. Take away his money and his profession and he will only weasel some gullible women into taking care of him. Viciousness deserves viciousness. Too much news coverage of his deeds and too many people giving him nothing but gratitude for his meager attempts 'to change', Big Deal. Let healthy aggressive pit bulls, or whatever dogs he murdered because he couldn't make money off their brutalization decide his fate and I am among many people here in the midwest who believe the same thing.

I think that he deserves the utmost punishment available for the dogfighting charges. I hope that he ends up having to pay back the Falcons his 22 million and that he never plays in the NFL again. I can't believe he is that stupid to waste away his athletic talent. What a loser.

I think Vick will go down in history as one greatest falls from grace in American Sports. We have seen many athletes fall from grace but Vick was at the top of the league in the prime of his career. Now its all gone..

I don't think he is trying to do good. He just popped positive for marijuana. I think he is being advised to do things that will make him look good though. I think the time has come to forget about Vick completely. No more questions, answers, etc.

If he's acting good now, it's because the spot light is on him... Ask me when his time served is up and he's had a couple years to live on his own again without the media following him. I'll tell you then what I think about that loser.
