Thrush is in the mouth, yeast infection would be in the diaper. Have her looked at. Generally at that age when they get a yeast infection they will have what looks like a bad diaper rash that stays red even when you put ointment on it. Over the counter yeast infection cream clears it up. Look it up on google and see if it looks the same. My son had two in a row, one at 13 weeks one at 15.
As far as the teething, you dont need anything fancy, just some infant motrin and some baby oragel. You can even alternate between the motrin and tylenol to help her even more. When the dose is up on one, give her a does of the other.
Make sure she's not fevery, and offer her a bottle all the time, nevermind solids right now, once those teeth cut through she'll pick up where she left off.
If you are concerned and she just seems not right, take her to the doctor for a professonal paid opinion.

You could give the powders a go-they come in a sachet and they numb the area, and are designed especially for babies. I can't remember what it's called though, so youd need to pop into the chemist and ask them. It wors really well on my friends little boy who has had exactly the same problem with teething as your daughter.
It seems to work better than Bonjela!
As for the discharge, it does sound as though it could be thrush and you'd be best off taking her to the doctors to check her over.

hi, i tried all the teething gels ect even calpo didnt make any difference to my daughter, the only thing that works is ambesol, its for adults teeth problems aswell but can be used on baby, it really does work, the 1st time we used it i licked my finger and my tounge went numb, so imagine what it does to babys gums, id give that a try, my little girl couldnt suck her bottles with out crying in pain, i put the ambesol on before i feed her and noticed the difference straight away, you can buy it from boots ask at the pharmacy bit, i think it about £2.99,
the other thing that really helps is a chunk of water melon or half an apple from the fridge to chew on,
im not sure about the dischage in the nappy id see a doctor or your health visitor, good luck xx

I know this is old fashioned but you can buy teething powders from any local chemist.....They are natural ingredients and you just put on a teaspoon and feed into the mouth.......They are best kept for bedtime otherwise if used all day they will be less effective.....keep for bedtime to ensure of a peaceful night............You can also buy teething rings....I found the ones you put in a freezer very helpful....They have some type of fluid in the ring which freezes so when babe bites on the ring it cools the gums.......Much better than giving them loads of medication which they either suck off or end up like zombies....good luck

It is more than likely Thrush. You can find more specific information, such as Symptoms, Treatment, etc. at the link below.
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/oral-thrush/DS00408/DSECTION=2
Also, to avoid Thrush, see the page below. My first daughter (now 3) had thrush once, and after reading this page, never got it again.
http://www.nih.gov/news/WordonHealth/apr2001/story03.htm
I have a 5 month old that is teething, so i know what you are going through. They sell teething items (rings, fish, shells, etc) that you can freeze for your child to chew on. My daughter prefers that to anything else, other than the Biter Biscuits. She also hates Bonjela, but doesn't seem to mind the Baby Orajel.
Hope this helps.

white discharge is normal in a baby girl. but at 8 months i would advise going to the doctor just iincase . also try a different milk (same brand) but maybe the milk your giving her hasnt got enogh nutrients to fill her. i.e cow and gate plus instead of premium thats what i did with my daughter. try nurofen for children and do 2.5ml first then the other 2.5ml. teething will bring on all sorts of ailments. my daughter got thrush of the mouth and eczema. and as her gums are sore this is most probably why she is not feeding as well as she was.

I find Nurofen for Children works much better for my son than either Calpol or Medised. You could give it a try if you haven't already.
Some people swear by Ashton and Parsons teething powders but I haven't found them helpful. I can never get them into my son's mouth, lol! You could try them though.
As for the white discharge, hmm not sure as I haven't got a baby girl, might want to get that checked out.

She shouldn't have white discharge take her to your GP if its in her mouth it can spread to her little girl bits and bum as it goes thro the digestive tract and blader. Aston's and parsons is the best i have found and its been around for years my mum used it on me try giving calpol in a syringe you can buy them from pharmacies that's the only way my two will take it put it on top of her tongue not too far in tho or she ll gag so she thinks shes sucking it my twins were prem and on lots of meds and this is the best way i also know because of my profession. If her mouth is sore she wont eat well its like if you have really bad tooth ache you feel stressed out and don't want to eat.

calpol will make her drowsy too but if it relieves her then using for up to three days won't hurt..as others have said a small syringe (available from chemist) and placed in side of her mouth against her cheek and squeezed in slowly to prevent choking..also try all sorts of textures for her to chew on such as large chunks of carrot, rubber teething rings, dentipegs (biscuits available for teething- hard and not sugary..they attach by a ribbon to babies clothes)..put as many things in the fridge first as the cold will numb the gums too..as with all things though watch closely so she can't choke..any discharge from the mouth or nappy area could be a yeast infection (thrush) but it's always best to seek medical advice from your gp to prevent something nasty being overlooked and mistaken for something else..lastly,just remember it won't last forever but it is hard to see them in pain huh.
