No, I am neither materialistic nor acquisitive. I believe in living within my means. Perhaps I have different priorities to other people (e.g. I do not smoke/drink so can do something more useful with my money than waste it in that way).
I don't think I'm undervaluing myself - just being practical/realistic.

I must admit I am very high maintenance. I think it comes from being confident in your abilities to do things and being self-reliant. Also understanding yourself well enough to know how to react in various situations in life.
People can confuse it with arrogance and bossiness but I like being with people who are happy with who they are and not judge others on their race/religion/sexuality/age. I'm very high maintenance which may scare away some potential partners.

I am so high maintenance that I have to have 3 jobs to maintain myself! Jim has taken on the responsibility though so he is either too good to be true or stupid!
