Try running the NAV in Safe Mode. To get into Safe Mode, reboot and then either hold down or tap the F8 key repeatedly while the computer is starting up. Also download, check for updates and run these antispyware applications, also in Safe Mode. You can always uninstall them afterwards should you so choose.

In addition, look at the file location of the malware. If it indicates that it is in the System Information or Restore volumes, it would be in your best interests to disable system restore, reboot then re-enable system restore when you log back on. What this does is protects you from reloading the malware should you ever need to do a system restore.
Many anti-virus products cannot remove viruses from system restore thus the reason for clearing out possible infected points. For reference to this, see the link below:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial56.html#problems
There are several ways to disable system restore but the easiest is to go to Control Panel, System, System Restore tab and tick the box to "Turn off system restore on all drives", click Apply, click OK and reboot. Follow the same steps when you log back on to re-enable system restore by removing the tickmark.
For reasons System Restore should disabled and re-enabled after and not before malware removal, see the webpage below:

How courteous of Symantec =P ). i'm rather particular their antivirus classes are written off the comparable dlls, so which you will not have the two engaged on the comparable time.

VundoFix.exe is a specialized removal tool developed to remove Vundo (aka Virtumonde) infections.
VundoFix removal tool is here:
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/24/2/
It's free.
_________________________________
To prevent a Vundo re-infection:
The most common method of infection is through outdated versions of Sun Java; older versions are being exploited so it is important to firstly make sure that your Java software is fully up to date. And remove any old versions of Java, that may still be on your computer. Use your Add / Remove programs.
Good luck.
